A workshop for the dementia caregiver

Approximately 7 million people in the United States are living with

dementia. Over 70% of their caregivers are family members and most of

them are women. Experience is showing us that it is almost impossible to be the caregiver and the spouse, daughter, or son. In many families, the

caregiving falls on one person primarily and 30 to 50% of care givers die

before the person with dementia. Learn how to relieve the stress the

caregiver experiences and how to use outside help to improve the quality of life for the person with dementia and the caregiver.
